From the June 19, 2005 Bulletin: SATURDAY - "APPRECIATION DINNER" - Following the 5:00 pm Mass on Saturday, June 24, we will say thanks to all involved in carrying out our recent festival. All "workers" are invited to dinner at 7:00 pm. We do need an accurate count by Monday, June 20th. Please return the published form or call our offices. - At the dinner, we will have the net results for this year's festival.
From the June 12, 2005 Bulletin: OUR FESTIVAL - A MILLION DOLLARS?
Yes, in one bill. That was the amount found on the floor of the festival office. It didn't say "Parker Brothers", but the same idea: play money!
However, we can report an outstanding result from our festival week. The total amount from the "grounds" for the six nights was $90,045. Of course, the net figure will be derived after deducting expenses and adding the entire raffle proceeds.
Starting in January, and as the hard work continues all through the Festival itself, the satisfaction of a job well done extends to everyone. The event is a great fund-raiser, especially supported by great weather. And the festival has become truly a community event. Congratulations to all. All can be proud!!
- Fr. Dorsey

A big THANK YOU to all the people of St. Ursula Parish for making Festival 2005 our most successful Festival ever. Thanks for all your hard work, support, and dedication.
AND to all those who attended our 2005 Parish Festival each evening we extend our most sincere appreciation. We could not have made it without your wonderful support.
Last but not least, THANK YOU GOD FOR giving us the ability, and the good weather to have a wonderful festival to bring our community together.
HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR!!
From the June 5, 2005 Bulletin: THROUGH THE RAPIDS TO QUIET WATERS - At this writing our festival has sped through the first night along Pine Creek and all is well so far. First night saw a few splashes but all went smoothly and for a "good night". Thanks to all our faithful paddlers and loyal supporters, we are off to a fine start. By your reading time, we will need one last series of strong strokes by the crew - which is some of you.
We need help on Sunday (June 5) to "tear down, put away and clean up". We start early, have lunch and stay till the trailer is closed-up and the last funnel cake plates are tossed in the dumpster. We really need some strong young people with gloves for the final hours, two to five, to help those who have been at the tasks since morning. No need to call - just show from 9 to 5.
THANKS TO ALL FOR THEIR PART IN
