FESTIVAL SCHEDULE: SPECIAL EVENTS
EACH NIGHT FOOD FUN GAMES RIDES
NEEDED FOR FESTIVAL -- BLACKJACK & POKER * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * This year's Festival will not include our traditional Flea Market. Due to the water damage problem in the school building. The Church Hall, which is usually available for the Flea Market, will be used for numerous other school and church activities. Please tell your family, friends, and neighbors who usually donate items, that we will not be having a Flea market and cannot accept donated items. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Festival Set-up Begins on Saturday and Sunday, May 17 and 18 and continues the next weekend, May 24 and 25. This is a big job and the more "hands" the easier the task. Set-up begins at 8:00 a.m. and lunch will be served. We welcome any time you can volunteer. Come for an hour or half-day or all day. Can't be there at 8:00 a.m., come when you can. We would especially welcome the youth of the parish and will sign Community Service Forms. * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
We will be having our two traditional Festival Dinners this year. Dinners will be * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * NEW THIS YEAR - We will run one continuous 50-50 Raffle on the Festival Grounds. Tickets will be sold nightly, the pot will grow, and the winning ticket will be drawn on the last night of the Festival, Saturday, May 31. Winner need not be present. We will announce the amount in the pot each night of the Festival. Watch the amount grow. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * We are hoping to have a new booth this year -- TASTE OF NATIONS. This booth will sell ethnic foods and we are looking for volunteers to make and donate their favorite "Family Recipes". Take outs will be available. Come enjoy the Festival and take home lunch or dinner for the next day. If you have any questions, call Mary Kane 412-486-6768. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Please remember to buy/sell your Raffle Tickets and turn the sold books in early. Our Grand Raffle is the most important segment of the Festival. As you know, weather can play an important part in Festival Week; great, warm weather can increase our profit but rainy cold weather can be a disaster. The Raffle is the only segment NOT AFFECTED BY THE WEATHER. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you haven't already volunteered to work at the Festival, Call Mary Kane 412-486-6768. Help is needed in many, many areas. Tell us what you would like to do. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ST URSULA FESTIVAL -- Auction items are needed for the upcoming festival.
